Ink Detroit Banners

Ink Detroit Banners

Apparel campaign and ecommerce banner design for a Detroit lifestyle brand.

ROLE

Graphic Design / Apparel Campaigns / Ecommerce Banners / Product Storytelling / Digital Retail

Ink Detroit banners were created to support apparel collections, ecommerce promotions, local events, and Great Lakes lifestyle campaigns. The work translated Detroit pride into product-focused digital graphics built for fast shopping behavior, clear product hierarchy, and a strong sense of place.

01

Ink Detroit banners for apparel and ecommerce

The work was built around a simple idea: Detroit apparel should feel direct, local, and easy to recognize. Each banner used product photography, bold type, texture, and local references to make the collection feel specific to the city.

02

The Detroitish Collection

The Detroitish collection used varsity-inspired lettering and muted apparel tones to turn a local identity phrase into a wearable graphic system. The banners kept the hierarchy simple: product first, message second, call to action third.

03

Seasonal moments, local rituals

The campaign extended into Detroit-specific moments like Flower Day at Eastern Market. These pieces had to balance event information, brand presence, apparel, and local symbols inside a digital banner format.

Great Lakes lifestyle graphics

Some banners expanded the brand from Detroit pride into a broader Great Lakes lifestyle. The “Go Jump in a Lake” work used regional language, wood textures, lake references, and product photography to connect the apparel to Michigan culture beyond the city.

05

Built for digital retail

The banners were designed to work quickly across ecommerce placements. Each layout needed a clear product read, a direct message, and a simple path to action. I focused on hierarchy, product scale, texture, and CTA placement so each collection could feel distinct while still belonging to the Ink Detroit system.

Product, place, and clarity

My role focused on building product-focused digital graphics that connected apparel to place. I worked with product imagery, typography, texture, and campaign messaging to create banners that felt local, clear, and ready for ecommerce use.

Impact

Ink Detroit strengthened my experience designing for apparel brands, ecommerce campaigns, and consumer-facing product storytelling. The work shows how local identity can become a flexible visual system across collection launches, seasonal promotions, and lifestyle banners.
