“Comedy moves people — so should design.”

Brand Design reimagines how comedy and mobility intersect.

Kevin Hart Lyft Comics Brand Design – Logo & Motion Design by Julian Rucker

Kevin Hart Lyft Comics Brand Design brings humor and mobility together through motion, typography, and narrative rhythm.

I contributed to the project by editing the promotional and intro videos, and by designing the Road Comics logo and animated intro sequence that open the show.

This collaboration extended the Lyft brand into entertainment—connecting audiences to comedy through motion and personality.

Challenge:

Lyft wanted to connect its brand voice — friendly, inclusive, city-based — with Kevin Hart’s larger-than-life personality. The challenge was creating a visual identity that balanced celebrity-driven entertainment with approachable brand humor.

Goal:

Kevin Hart’s Road to Lyft Comics was a promotional campaign and TV show highlighting new comedians from across the U.S., supported by Lyft’s playful brand voice.

The production required a cohesive identity across screen graphics, stage visuals, and digital promotion.

My role focused on shaping the visual rhythm of the show’s opening moments—where the energy of Kevin Hart’s comedic presence meets the upbeat motion of the Lyft brand.

Impact

The result was a cohesive campaign identity aligning Kevin Hart’s comedic brand with Lyft’s commitment to joyful mobility.

The visuals extended across YouTube, Instagram, and streaming networks, achieving over 1M cumulative impressions during premiere week.
